Harbertonford Primary is a Church of England school with a family feel and nurturing ethos. It is of the utmost importance to us that we serve our whole community, without exception or exclusion. Our vision and values very much relate to who we are as a village school and to our Christian distinctiveness; please investigate ‘Our Ethos’ tabs for further information.

St. Peter’s Church, Harbertonford

We are lucky to be situated near to St. Peter’s Church, which provides us with a lovely setting for some of our Collective Worship as well as festival gatherings, such as Harvest Festival, Easter and Christmas Carols. We are fortunate to have excellent links with Reverend David Sayle who regularly leads our Collective Worship in church and in school. Rev. David also attends our festivals and celebrations and even takes part in some of our lessons!

The whole school visited St David’s Church in Ashprington. (2018)

We learnt about how to play the organ and found out about the history of the building. We also created decorations for the Christmas tree and Kestrels and Eagles were treated to a re-enactment of a typical Tudor wedding. Many thanks to the ‘Open The Book’ team at Ashprington for providing such a memorable day.
