Welcome to this weeks newsletter. What a busy week we have had!
The children had a great morning in the sunshine for the beach cricket festival organised by Dartmoor School Sports Partnership. They had the opportunity to try a variety of different throwing, catching and batting activities and also got to interact with children from other schools.
On a sunny a recent sunny evening 10 pupils from the school travelled to Stover school to take part in a cyclo cross event organised by the school sports partnership. Eight of our children attended the second Cross Country race at Haldon Forest one evening after school, an event organised by Dartmoor School Sport Partnership. They all did fantastically and Ben Goldsmith from Eagles came 1st in the year 5/6 boys category which was a massive achievement. Well done to all who took part.
Yesterday we had the pleasure of Robert Mitchell from Sports For Champions coming into school to do some exciting fitness tasks with us. Falcons class had an indoor archery lesson recently. They learn't about the sport and how to use the bow. It was quite tricky to get the arrow to hit the target but Gilbert managed to hit the bullseye!
The Pre-school really enjoyed digging in the snow recently. They raked and brushed the snow. We really enjoyed all the "snow day" stories it sounded like everyone had fun.
