Eagles recently took a step back in time to the Victorian era when they visited Morwellham Quay. It was a great experience of the life of Victorian children. Our hands-on workshops included rope-making, stone-breaking and a handwriting lesson in a Victorian school. We also boarded the mine train and travelled underground into a disused copper mine. It was fascinating but a little unnerving following the dark narrow tunnel through the hillside. The class represented the school in a sensible and respectful way.
